Witch Hazel Hydrosol

Witch Hazel Hydrosol (Hamamelis virginiana) is steam distilled from the aerial parts of the shrub. Every batch we have brought in has come from the USA, from certified organic material, and we have been logging them here since 2021.

The aroma is slightly herbaceous, fresh, and woodsy, and the hydrosol itself is a clear, water-like liquid. It is soluble in both water and alcohol, so it blends easily into sprays, toners, compresses, and other water-based preparations, and you can use it straight from the bottle as a spritz. Like most hydrosols, it is best used within about a year, and it keeps best refrigerated.
